Passing A Drug Test – An Introduction
Passing a drug test can be difficult if you have used recreational narcotics close to the testing period. Due to the nature of the tests, and the safeguards against avoidance, many screenings will give you little to no time before you need to take the test.
If you have been taking recreational drugs on the same day you are testing, passing a drug test will be virtually impossible. It takes very little time for banned medications to work its way into your blood stream, which means that urine, blood and saliva tests will bare traces of those compounds. Hair tests might pass, as it requires a certain amount of time for hair to grow.
If you have taken drugs, and passing a drug test is required, you can attempt to drink high amounts of water to dilute your urine in hopes that the test is not sensitive enough to pick up on the presence of the drugs. While this may work on card based tests, gas tests can pick up even the faintest trace amounts of banned drugs within your urine.
As many people have avoided drug tests by bringing urine of a friend who is clean of drugs, there are now steps taken to prevent this from occurring. However, if you can sneak in someone else's urine sample into the test, passing a drug test when you otherwise will have failed is a possibility. If you are caught doing this, it will be treated as a fail with further consequences.
The only safe way to ensure passing a drug test is within your reach is to make certain that you have not done any drugs for at least a week prior to the drug test. As most drugs have a in body life span of a week, it will take this long until the remnants of the drugs are removed from your system. This will work on urine, blood and saliva testing.
In the case of hair based testing, passing a hair drug test after using recreational illegal drugs is impossible unless you shave off all of the hair on your body. While some people attempt to shave their heads, this is not effective as all of the hair you produce will show your illegal prescriptions use history. As the history spans for a period of six months, this can have devastating consequences for those being tested. Due to the nature of hair growth, the remnants of the banned medications are never fully purged.
If passing a drug test is a large concern for you, you should research the lifespan of the drugs you take and find out how long it takes for them to purged from your body.
If you take certain prescription medications, you will need to bring a proof of prescription to your drug testing, as they can trigger false-positive results on many different drug tests.
